Stripped back and reconfigured, this four-bedroom home now wraps around a centrally located inground pool, offering seamless indoor-outdoor living and maximising its northern orientation for optimal solar access.
A Stylish and Functional Entertainer’s Dream
Inspired by the clean lines and breezy aesthetic of Palm Springs, the homeowners wanted a home that was both stylish and easy to maintain. Their priority was to create a space where they could entertain friends and family, while also accommodating a vintage car collection. They also wanted the layout to revolve around the pool with plenty of privacy despite the home’s suburban setting.
Overcoming the Challenge of Urban Living
Geoff and Kaye were accustomed to living on acreage and initially concerned about the proximity of neighbours. However, they were ready to trade the rural lifestyle for the convenience of living close to cafes and beaches. Privacy remained a priority, and the design was crafted to provide a sense of seclusion.
Architectural Design and Flair
The home was designed by a local architect and weekly onsite meetings with the clients and architect ensured close collaboration between everyone involved.
Together, the home was designed and built in a layout that wrapped the home around the pool, providing beautiful views of the outdoor area from every room.

The finished home is a perfect blend of practicality and style, with a central pool area that acts as the focal point of the home. The reconfigured floor plan ensures that natural light floods the space, while the three-car garage provides ample room for Geoff’s collection.
